Students Meet Professor Leung in Christian Weekly Feature

Students from our school were recently interviewed and featured by Christian Weekly. In the special feature, our 6A students, Wong Hoi Ki and Fung Ling Ki, took part in a dialogue with Professor Leung Yuen Sang, Emeritus Professor of the Department of History at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Leung is also a former Dean of the Faculty of Arts and the former Dean of Chung Chi College.

 

The interview focused on the theme “The Pursuit of Scholarship and Faith.” Professor Leung shared his academic journey in researching the history of Christianity in China. He explained how his faith and passion for history inspired his studies of missionaries, early Chinese Christians, and the exchange between Chinese and Western cultures. Through this conversation, students learned about the discipline and rigor behind academic research, and also considered how religion and personal aspirations can develop in harmony.

 

This experience helped our students go beyond the classroom. It also deepened their understanding of how religion, history, and social development are closely connected. We hope students will continue to stay curious, approach learning with confidence, and pursue meaningful life goals.
